Biolab holds Bioland Educational Day at the Children Museum

Biolab, the leading accredited diagnostic laboratories in the Kingdom, held the Bioland educational day for children on Friday at the Children’s Museum. This activity day aimed at raising the children’s medical awareness in a creative and fun atmosphere. The activity came as a result of the strategic partnership between Biolab, the Danish Jordanian University Cooperation (DJUCO Partnership) and the Lothan Youth Achievement Center (LOYAC). The partners sponsored a youth innovation camp for a group of university students. The winning students who participated in the youth camp worked with Biolab to develop and implement the idea of Bioland.   

Bioland consisted of four main sections; (1) a food section that presents the heathy and unhealthy food and the different types of vitamins and their importance to the human body, (2)a role play section where kids enjoy playing the doctor’s role while their parents play the patients’ role. Height and length measurement tools are available for pretend play, as well as stethescopes and vein viewers. Rescue and first aid volunteers from JPS explained to the children how to use the first aid kit. (3) a fun section where kids enjoy playing basketball and other games, (4) An Alchemist section that demonstrated fun science concepts.

Dr. Amid Abdelnour, CEO of Biolab declared: “Educating kids on health issues using fun methods is part of our awareness strategy that aims to build a health-aware generation.” He added: “We always welcome new partnerships with different organizations to achieve benefits to all walks of society.”

Biolab’s accomplishments include the unprecedented achievement of obtaining a certificate of quality health services granted by the International Joint Commission.
