AUC and the Administrative Capital Partner to Advance Human Capital Development

The American University in Cairo (AUC) and the Administrative Capital for Urban Development (ACUD) signed a cooperation agreement to solidify the strategic partnership between the two institutions. The agreement is designed to strengthen institutional ties and expand academic and professional opportunities through AUC’s School of Continuing Education Professional Development Center at the New Administrative Capital. The ceremony was attended by Ahmad Dallal, AUC president, Khaled Abbas, chairman and managing director of ACUD, Mahmoud Allam, dean of the AUC’s School of Continuing Education, and senior leadership from the University and ACUD.

“The opening of AUC’s School of Continuing Education Professional Development Center at the New Capital marks a significant milestone in SCE’s commitment to lifelong learning and extended education," said Allam, dean of the School of Continuing Education. “Through this center, we aim to support the continuous professional development of government employees and professionals, while extending AUC’s impact beyond campus and closer to the institutions shaping Egypt’s future."

Allam added, "This strategic collaboration with The Administrative Capital for Urban Development (ACUD) is aligned with the government’s national priorities for human capital development, capacity building and the creation of a future-ready public sector.”

Commenting on the significance of the agreement, Khaled Abbas, chairman and managing director of ACUD said, “We are pleased to sign this agreement with the American University in Cairo, which not only aligns with our strategic mandate to position the New Capital as a regional beacon for knowledge but also presents a vital integration of urban development and academic excellence. The partnership represents a significant step in aligning the resources of the New Capital with the academic expertise of AUC. Locating SCE’s Professional Development Center at the New Administrative Capital enables direct support and impact of capacity building for government staff members based in the capital, while also serving professionals and individuals seeking continuous upskilling and professional development in diverse areas of interest.
