Khalaf Al Habtoor & Easa Saleh Al Gurg discuss the Al Jalila Foundation

Two of the UAE’s most prominent businessmen meet to discuss their philanthropic efforts. Khalaf Al Habtoor, Chairman of the Al Habtoor Group visited HE Easa Saleh Al Gurg, Chairman of Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group at his company’s headquarters on Thursday, February 28^th to discuss the mandate of the Al Jalila Foundation. 

The Al Jalila Foundation, a non-profit entity, was set in November 2012 by a decree of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The Foundation supports medical education and research. 

Al Habtoor, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Al Jalila Foundation, was accompanied by Dr Abdulkareem Sultan Al Olama, Chief Executive Office of the Al Jalila Foundation; Dr Muhadditha Al Hashimi, a member of the Board of Directors and Abdul Salam Al Marzooqi, General Secretary and Director of the recently set up Khalaf Al Habtoor Foundation. The President of the Al Jalila Foundation is His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group. 

Easa Saleh Al Gurg appreciated the visit by Al Habtoor in his capacity as Vice President of the Board of Trustees of the Al Jalila Foundation. 

Khalaf Al Habtoor said, “I was happy to meet with Mr Al Gurg. We discussed many initiatives and ways the Al Jalila Foundation can help develop the country. Education and medical research is of paramount importance.” 

The Al Jalila Foundation, which is headquartered in Dubai Healthcare City, aims to help achieve the UAE’s pioneering in the field of medical science by granting scholarships and financing medical research, as well as enhancing excellence in the medical academic and research field in the UAE and abroad.
