Jordan Ahli Bank sponsors Al Jude Foundation’s Sherkitna initiative

Jordan Ahli Bank recently sponsored the Sherkitna Our Company initiative, which seeks to plant seeds of entrepreneurship within the community with the objective of fostering future generations with an aptitude for productivity and innovation.

Sherkitna an initiative owned by the nonprofit Al Jude Foundation offers grade-11 school students nationwide a JD 200 start-up fund to invest in a potentially viable business idea, in addition to providing them with the guidance and training necessary to take the idea from concept to fruition. The training workshops organized under the initiative present the students with a thorough understanding of the pillars of success for any applicable project, allowing them to place their visions in the context of the local market and its various specifics.

After helping a student finalize their project, Sherkitna allocates 50 percent of the generated profits to their school, thereby securing funding for another project within the same school to ensure the continuity of the capacity-building cycle. A celebration ceremony is organized at the conclusion of every school year to honor and reward project owners and their supervisors.
