Oman signs nine transport project agreements

Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah al-Harthy, Oman's Minister of Transport and Communications signed on Sunday nine agreements worth RO. 20,6 million to implement a number of road and port projects in the Sultanate's various regions and wilayats.  

 

According to ONA, the agreements were signed with LK Contracting and Trading Company, the Oman Contractors Union Company, Strapak Oman Company, Galfar Engineering and Contracting Company, Al-Shanfari Trading and Contracting Company, Engineering Consultancy Services Company and Al-Khaleej Engineering Consultancy Company.  

 

As per the agreement, the companies will implement Mahout - Nizwa - Thumrait road, Owaifiyah - Qarat al-Melh roads and rehabilitate Al-Hazm - Al-Huwqein road in the wilayat of Al-Rustaq, design and construct a tarmac road from Suwaiq to Al-Huwqein, design and construct Tawi Aa'teer - Jabal Samhan - Teeq cave road in Dhofar Governorate, design and supervise the construction of an sea birth at Shannah in the Wusta region, design and supervise the establishing of an air strip in the Wusta region and expand the infra-structure of Khasab Port.  

 

The signing ceremony was attended by the Ministry undersecretary for transport, the undersecretary of Tourism Ministry and other officials. (menareport.com)
