ALBAWABA – The authorities announced new traffic fines of up to $1,600 in Saudi Arabia and issued a public warning, urging motorists to comply and avoid violations.
The General Directorate of Traffic said that it is prohibited to overtake a stationary school bus, subject to a fine of SAR 3,000 ($800) and SAR 6,000 ($1,600).

When school buses are picking up or dropping off students, it is illegal to pass the vehicle for the safety of the students, pedestrians and drivers, Arabian Business reported.
