ALBAWABA - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stressed the need for Israel to increase its manufacturing of weapons manufactured in the country in a recent development from Jerusalem.
In a March 28 meeting with President of the Bank of Israel Amir Yaron, Netanyahu emphasized the significance of coordinating the nation's defense budget to meet the demands of wartime. He emphasized how important it is for Israel to become more self-sufficient in producing the weapons it needs.
Netanyahu emphasized the value of independence in making decisions and reaffirmed Israel's commitment to growing its indigenous armaments industry. He proposed that by taking this action, the country would be better equipped to withstand external pressures and establish its sovereignty.
Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, underlined that in order to reduce its susceptibility to outside pressure, Tel Aviv needs to become more independent in the production of weaponry.
According to a statement released by his office on Sunday, Netanyahu emphasized the significance of matching weapon manufacturing with the demands that arise during conflicts at a meeting with Governor Amir Yaron of the Bank of Israel.
"We have to greatly increase our ability to manufacture vital weapons," Netanyahu declared, emphasizing the need for independence in this area.
The bank's Annual Report for 2023, which showed encouraging signs of a rebound in salaries and employment and exceeded pre-war projections in some areas, was also given to Netanyahu during the Thursday meeting.
Netanyahu stressed that "we must safeguard our autonomy to make decisions, free from external pressures," suggesting that Tel Aviv should set its own direction.
These remarks come in response to Friday's US media revelations that the Biden administration approved Israel's acquisition of $2.5 billion in weapons during its recent Gaza offensive.
