ALBAWABA – Elon Musk, the US entrepreneur best known for his leadership roles at Tesla, Inc. and SpaceX, as well as his ownership of X, has announced a new project in partnership with the UAE government.

Dubai Loop project

Musk announced Dubai Loop, the new underground transport project in partnership with the UAE government. The project is set to connect major and diverse areas across the city and was announced on the third day of the World Government Summit (WGS) 2025.

Musk attended virtually through a session with Omar AlOlama, UAE’s Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications. Both Musk and AlOlama announced the new project during the session.

Musk stated: “It will be like a wormhole. Like, you just wormhole from one part of the city and boom you're out in another part of the city. I think once people try it out, they will think this is really cool.”

“We're going to announce the joint project of Dubai Loop, which is a loop project that is going to cover Dubai's most densely populated areas for people to go from point to point,” said AlOlama.

Notably, the project will be conducted in partnership with the UAE government and the Boring company (TBC), the American infrastructure, tunnel construction service, and equipment company founded by Elon Musk.
