The Moroccan government has recently raised the local fuel prices. This hike, according to a report in Al-Hayat, is largely the result of the rising international oil prices.
Moreover, it is likely to push the consumer price index to three percent, as opposed to the previously projected 2.5 percent inflation rate.
The local government added that this price rise, beginning earlier this month, constitutes no more than 50 percent of the planned oil price rise. The per liter price of benzene exceeded MD 10, while the per canister price of liquefied gas exceeded MD 1. –(Albawaba-MEBG)
