Kuwait to receive gas from Qatar’s north field

(MEBG) - Qatar and Kuwait have signed an agreement according to which Kuwait will be supplied with gas from the Enhanced Gas Utilization (EGU) project in Qatar's north field, reported the Kuwait Times on July 29. 

 

The agreement follows a statement of intent, which was signed on May 3, 2000, by the Kuwaiti Oil Minister and the chairman of the Kuwait Petroleum Company (KPC) on the one side, and the Qatari Minister of Energy, Industry, Water and Electricity and the chairman of Qatar's General Petroleum Corporation (QGPC) on the other side. 

 

This latest agreement was signed by QGPC KPC, and ExxonMobil Middle East Gas Marketing. Attending the ceremony were senior officials from all companies.
