Jordan Telecom and TE Data, an Egypt-based data communications and Internet service provider, signed an agreement at GITEX for the provision of a high-end hub services portfolio. Under the agreement, TE Data will be able to offer its Internet and IPVPN services to its enterprise regional customers in Jordan.
TE Data has an ambitious plan to expand its network regionally offering Internet and IPVPN services to enterprise customers. Through this agreement TE Data will be able to benefit from Jordan Telecom value-added services such as its outsourced Data Center. This coincides with Jordan Telecom's mission to attract foreign investment and make Jordan a regional hub for ICT services.
TE Data is one of Egypt's largest IP based data communications carrier. The company was established in late 2001 by Telecom Egypt to act as its data communications and Internet arm. It was established through the merged assets of a leading ISP in Egypt since 1997 and the IDSC Egyptian Internet hub since 1992. — (menareport.com)
