The Iraqi Ministry of Trade will be reimbursing truck drivers for expenses incurred while delivering goods for the Ministry from June to September 2003. Company Director-Generals will distribute the funds in a one-time payment from their respective headquarters.
The Ministry of Trade will also begin repossessing official Ministry trucks effective immediately. All Ministry of Trade vehicles must be returned to the nearest Ministry of Trade facilities as soon as possible to receive new documentation.
In order to receive reimbursement payment, drivers are asked to report to their company Director-General. In order to properly re-register trucks, drivers are asked to report to their fleet manager as soon as possible. Ministry officials said they are willing to re-hire drivers, provided that the drivers properly re-register their vehicles. — (menareport.com)
