Iran Railways boosts transport activity

More than 650,000 tons of transit goods have been transported by the Islamic Republic Railways (IRR) in the first four months of the current Iranian year (started March 20), reflecting an 82 percent rise in comparison with the corresponding period last year.  

 

The revenue, which showed a 56 percent increase in comparison with the corresponding period last year, stood at $19.178 million, MNA reported. 

 

The report added that IRR is to transit 2 million tons of goods via Iran in the current year. 

 

IRR stated that 1.8 million tons of exported goods were carried by railway over the same period, showing an 11 percent growth in comparison with corresponding period last year. (menareport.com)
