Managing Director of Iran's Qeshm Free Zone Organization (QFZO) Seyyed Fakhreddin Anvar said that according to international surveys, Qeshm island has a high potential in ecotourism and tourist attraction.
According to a report released by QFZO Public Relations Department, he added that in view of its wide range of capabilities in various fields including tourism, grounds for conducting feasibility studies have been prepared and a comprehensive plan has been drawn up to this effect.
"Based on the studies conducted by an international advisor, the particular geographic and natural features of the island contribute significantly to its extraordinary position.
"To attract more tourists to the island, the prospect of establishing natural parks is currently being examined," he added, according to Tehran Times.
