Director General of the Cooperatives’ Union for Cotton Farmers in Iran, Ali Mozaffari has recently said that 12,000 tons of cotton worth some US$18 million were exported from Iran over the last year.
According to MNA, Mozaffari added that 98,000 tons of cotton are produced annually in Iran. The director general conveyed that 145,000 hectares of cotton were planted in the Islamic Republic’s lands last year, adding that this amount has increased up to 20% in the current year. (menareport.com)
