Manager of Iran's research institute for dates and tropical fruits, Hossein Pejman said Sunday that date exports have dropped by 13.9% in the first quarter of the current year compared to the same period of last year.
Pejman told Mehr News Agency that date exports have gone down by 40% worldwide. According to him, experts have yet to find the reason for this worldwide decline.
The manager announced that Iran has exported a total of $4,258,000 dates during the said period. (menareport.com)
