HP and Emitac to expand geographical distribution remit

Hewlett-Packard Middle East will strengthen ties with Emitac from 1 April 2003 with a new agreement enabling it a greater regional distribution reach throughout the Middle East.  

 

Emitac previously held an exclusive contract to distribute HP's products to the United Arab Emirates, and this new agreement opens HP's channel to other distributors across the Middle East region. The company will now have access to HP's full product offerings throughout the Middle East.  

 

HP has been present in the Middle East since 1968, and opened its first regional office in 1994 and has offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ramallah, Cairo, Riyadh, Jeddah and Khobar servicing the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the Levant and Egypt. 

 

Emitac is a 28 years old company offering distribution, total technology solutions and services of IT, medical and analytical, test and measurement solutions. Emitac has as its customers most of the leading public private sector organizations in the UAE and Qatar and has grown it's technology business to $100 million in 2002. — (menareport.com)
