Gulf Air will commence flights to Borg Al-Arab in Alexandria, Egypt and to Mashad in Iran, for the summer season. “Between June 18– September 14, 2003, we will be flying our guests twice weekly directly from Abu Dhabi to this popular Egyptian holiday destination using Airbus A320 aircraft,” said Vice President Network Services, Gulf Air, Fareed Alalawi, “Services to Mashad will operate three times a week from Bahrain, also using Airbus A320 aircraft.”
Gulf Air was founded in 1950. Today, it is owned by the governments of Bahrain, Oman and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and is the only truly pan Gulf carrier in the region.
