The euro struggled to regain lost ground on Tuesday morning after hitting a historic low point of 0.8465 dollars and 90.42 yen in Asia earlier in the day.
One euro was buying $0.8497 in morning trading, and 90.63 yen.
Analysts said that the euro was likely to remain under pressure given that the market did not expect a concerted intervention effort to emerge from the Group of Seven (G7) meeting of finance ministers at the weekend in Prague.— (AFP)
