EPSON Middle East has launched two additions to its monochrome laser printer range. The EPL-6200, aimed at small to medium sized businesses, and the EPL-6200L aimed at home users, are EPSON's ideal desktop devices for producing vast monochrome output without compromising on quality.

The EPL-6200 and EPL-6200L can produce output at up to 20ppm with reduced warm up times. The devices can start printing in just 10.3 seconds. For best results, both printers can achieve a print resolution of up to 1200 dpi to guarantee that output is accurate and detailed.

"EPSON is renown for its colour expertise, however, we are realistic and we listen to our customers. We recognise that some printing applications do not need to be in colour with some customers still requiring mono laser printers, which is why we are continuing to manufacture and develop monochrome products." The EPL-6200 and EPL-6200L address the needs of the small to medium sized business and home users, two segments which are expanding rapidly in the Middle East" said Khalil El-Dalu, General Manager, EPSON

Middle East.

For complex print jobs, the EPL-6200 has a 200Mhz print controller and a maximum memory capacity of 136MB for fast and efficient management of data, suitable for businesses where a high volume of data will be sent to the printer. For home users the EPL-6200L includes a 48Mhz controller

and 2MB memory, ideal for lighter volumes of print data.

Both printers offer flexible media handling with support for media up to A4 in size (163 gsm) including envelopes, labels and transparencies. The EPL-6200 includes a sheet capacity of up to 750 in two different paper trays to save on storage and an optional duplex unit ensures users can

produce a variety of results from just one device. The EPL-6200L comes with a standard 150-sheet paper cassette - perfectly adequate for the home user.

Designed for both network environments and local connectivity, the EPL-6200 has an optional 10/100 BaseTX Ethernet interface making it fully compatible with business networks. For local connectivity, USB and parallel interfaces are also available. The devices can be managed remotely via EPSON's powerful network configuration software. And, with PCL5e, PCL6, EPSON ESC/Page, FX and Adobe Postscript 3 support, the EPL-6200 will interact seamlessly with all popular graphics and office applications for complete, trouble-free integration into the workplace. The EPL-6200L utilises easy USB connectivity

commonly used on PC's and Apple Macs in the home.
