Emirates has placed firm orders for four Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with nine options, at a list price of $2.96 billion. This will make Emirates one of the largest customers for the Boeing 777 family and take its fleet to 169 by the year 2012.
The contract was signed by Sheikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman of Emirates Group, and Boeing Commercial Airplanes President Alan Mulally at the Farnborough Air Show in the United Kingdom. The four aircraft on firm order will be delivered in 2006. (menareport.com)
