Gas retailer Emarat has signed on Cedar Consulting Services, an IT consultant to implement a management tool, Balanced Scorecard, to assist the corporation in measuring its performance across various segments of its business.
Through the Balanced Scorecard, Emarat will evaluate its performance across four major spheres – financial, customer service, internal business processes and learning and growth.
The Balanced Scorecard is a management tool developed by David Norton and Robert Kaplan of Harvard Business School, to help an organization translate its mission and strategy into a comprehensive set of performance measures that provides a framework for a strategic measurement and management system.
The Balanced Scorecard will be initially implemented at the corporate level before gradually cascading the use of the tool across the Corporation’s various department levels. — (menareport.com)
