EIB approves $522 million loan to Egypt

The European Investment Bank (EIB) has agreed to finance Egypt’s share of a liquefied natural gas project in the framework of the East (Al-Sharq) Gas and Oil Pipeline Project, which consists of exporting Egyptian gas to several countries, reported Al-Hayat . A senior source at the Egyptian Oil Ministry revealed that the EIB allocated 600 million euros ($522 million) to finance gas projects in the areas of Domiat and Rasheed. Egypt and the EIB are presently conducting discussions over the financing of internal gas projects belonging to the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company. — (menareport.com)
