Goods loaded at Algiers port have posted a fall of 94,467 tons during July 2004, going down from 169,388 tons in July 2003 to 74,921 tons in July 2004. According to Algiers Ports Enterprise (EPAL), this decline is induced by the fall of the traffic of oil and gas for export which add up an average monthly traffic of 100,000 tons.
This movement shows a variation of - 55,949 tons, shifting from 890,833 tons in July 2003 to 834,884 tons in July 2004, APS reported.
The total goods unloaded last month amounted to 759,963 tons compared to 721,445 tons at the same period of last year, i.e. a rise of 5.34 percent. (menareport.com)
