ALBAWABA - Although Android phones seem to last for years, every device has a limited lifespan linked to the cessation of security and system updates.

With the end of this support, the phone becomes less secure and more prone to problems, even if it continues to function normally.

Phone's expiration date:

The end of support doesn't mean the phone suddenly stops working; rather, it signifies the end of software support. At this point, major Android updates cease, security updates are discontinued, and new apps begin to crash or perform poorly.

Consequently, the phone becomes more susceptible to security vulnerabilities and less reliable for everyday use.

The easiest way to find out the support lifespan is to check for security updates by opening Settings, going to About phone, selecting Android version or System information, and looking for the security update date.

If the date is recent, within the last few months, it means the phone is still officially supported. However, if it's several months or years old, it's likely nearing the end of its lifespan.
