Air Arabia LLC, UAE’s national airline and the first low-cost airline of its kind in the Middle East & North Africa region, is set to showcase on the Sharjah Commerce & Tourism Development Authority stand at Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2004, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from May 4-7.

Completing six months of operations on 28 April 2004, Air Arabia has to date carried over 160,000 passengers to countries within the Middle East and Indian Subcontinent. The airline now offers 14 destinations in 10 countries from their original five destinations and flights have increased from 16 a week to 56 a week - catering for increasing customer demands.

“This time last year Air Arabia was still in planning stages and one year later we are not just an idea, but we are fully operational,” said Adel Ali, Air Arabia’s CEO. He added: “Air Arabia introduced a new concept of travel to the region and has managed to find its niche for all types of travellers – whether for business or leisure. Six months down the line we have established ourselves as a safe, efficient and cost effective method of air travel.” (menareport.com)
