Banks and firms who want to do business in Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat free trade zone can now zip through registration paperwork with the help of a simple new guide book.

Businesses wanting to trade the Saadiyat stock market must be registered with the Abu Dhabi Free Zone Association.

Mohammed Al-Howsseini, director of the Free Trade Zone Association said the guide has all the information any business needs to get a license to trade on the stock market. He said the need for a guide book was realized when the association found that most applications were never completed.

“If the process is quick, then association approval would also come quickly,” Al-Howsseini said.

Registration includes giving the association the company name, mission statement, and net worth.

Any company similar in name to one already registered in the zone or in Abu Dhabi is denied a license. The Association has licensed seven financial institutions so far. –(Albawaba-MEBG)
