Global networking leader 3Com Tuesday announced an extension of its Middle East growth and development strategy with the appointment of Mindware as a distributor for the region.
Part of the MDS Group, Mindware has emerged as a leading distributor of technology solutions in the region, with a sound reputation for stability and an in-depth understanding of the networking needs of large businesses.
“We want to continue to build our presence in the market, while providing consistently high levels of service and networking expertise to our partners and customers. Mindware has demonstrated that they have strong local business knowledge as well as a proven track record in distributing leading-edge technology products to businesses in the region,” said Wael Fakharany, general manager for 3Com in the Middle East.
Under the terms of the new partnership, Mindware will join 3Com’s distributor network to help build the market for its advanced range of LAN, WAN, voice, security and wireless solutions, in addition to providing support for 3Com’s growing community of resellers in the Middle East.
The two organizations anticipate that the Middle East’s networking industry has the potential to grow significantly over the next year, with particular areas of opportunity in the hospitality, residential and commercial development sectors.
Mindware will provide pre-sales support, technical advice and ongoing services for authorised 3Com resellers in the Middle East.

To support the new distribution agreement, 3Com and Mindware will work together on a range of educational programs to build awareness of key networking issues among resellers in the region, such as increasing the speed, security, and cost-effectiveness of both wired and wireless networks.
