ALBAWABA - Unconfirmed reports recently flooded social media claiming that Mossad Chief David Barnea was reportedly killed by an Iranian ballistic missile in a targeted attack on Israel's national intelligence agency's headquarters in Tel Aviv.
Social media users on X (formerly Twitter) added that his body was left unrecognizable after the attack. However, by the time of reporting, no official news outlet confirmed Barnea's killing.
An X user wrote, "Iran has reportedly taken out Mossad chief David Barnea with a ballistic missile, leaving his body unrecognizable."
Pro-Palestine activist Sarah Wilkinson added, "Unconfirmed reports that head of Mossad David Barnea has just been targeted & killed in a retaliatory strike by Iran | via @AFRICANDEMOC."

Simultaneously, other unconfirmed reports have been circulating on social media claiming that Israel's Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, was also reportedly killed in an Iranian strike after Iran targeted his house in the Israeli settlement of Kiryat Arba, leaving his fate unknown.
Several X accounts posted the footage and allegedly wrote, "The home of Itamar Ben-Gvir is reportedly on fire."
On Friday, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich's son was recently hit and injured by missile shrapnel alongside four other Israeli soldiers in an attack by Lebanon's Hezbollah.
