ALBAWABA - As the peace talks between the US and Iran collapsed in Islamabad, US President Donald Trump warned China against sending weapons to Iran.

A reporter told Trump that US Intelligence is claiming that China is allegedly planning to ship weapons to Iran, asking the president further if he had contacted Chinese President Xi Jinping regarding the situation at hand.

The US President responded, "If China does that, China is gonna have big problems."

The video flooded social media, capturing a wide variety of reactions from internet users. A social media user wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "He should worry about all the big problems happening in his own country first."

Another added, "Ah, so when *we* arm questionable regimes it's "stabilizing" the region, but when China does it, it's "big problems"? Got it. The rules of engagement are always clear: "Do as I say, not as I do." This hypocrisy isn't lost on anyone."

Both parties traded blame for the breakdown during talks that were held behind closed doors. Iranian officials accused Washington of "intransigence and bad faith," while US Vice President JD Vance said Tehran had "walked away from reasonable compromises."

US Vice President JD Vance said during a press conference that "We have not reached an agreement" with Iran during the US-Iran talks in Islamabad, Pakistan.
