Video: Franklin Fire reaches Malibu, California

ALBAWABA - Franklin Fire has recently reached Malibu Canyon near Pepperdine University as sirens sounded across the area to warn civilians. Videos of the incident quickly swarmed social media platforms including Musk's X (formerly known as Twitter) as users expressed their concern. 

According to CNN, the Franklin Fire was first reported around 10:45 p.m. around Malibu Canyon and has since made its way to Pepperdine University, as reported by the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The fire in question has grown at least 1,600 acres, tripling in size in just one hour.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department added on social media, "Units are on the ground and in the air battling a brush fire in Malibu. Mandatory evacuation orders are in order east of Malibu Canyon Rd and South of Piuma Rd as well as the Serra Retreat area". 

Moreover, Pepperdine University is asking its students to take shelter on several of its premises including its campus library and student center. The university has also canceled all its classes for further safety precautions, as reported by CNN.
