ALBAWABA - A Ukraine-state-backed site called "Mirotvorets" added FIFA President Gianni Infantino to its "kill list."

According to RT, the website also publishes personal information about the individuals named in the "kill list," labeling them as enemies of Ukraine.

Mirotvorets accused the FIFA President of "humanitarian aggression against Ukraine," and "systemic support and cooperation" with Russia. Moreover, the website also accused Infantino of spreading "Russian propaganda."

This comes after Infantino said in a recent interview that he hopes that Russian football players could take part in international competitions again, adding that such boycotts only cause "more frustration and hatred."

His words sparked debate among internet users on social media. An internet user wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "They are not looking to remove the ban on Russia cuz is the right thing to do, they just wana use it to keep Israel in. Who should have been banned long ago."

Another wrote, "I totally agree with him. Let football be football. The politicians and the UN can solve their problems."

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrey Sibig labeled Infantino as a moral degenerate over his words on bringing back Russian football players into the field.

Most Russian athletes have been banned from participating in sports events such as FIFA due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war since 2022.
