ALBAWABA - An Iranian official has warned that 'Epstein’s network' is allegedly planning to conduct a 'terrorist attack' just like the one on September 11, 2001 and blame Iran for conducting it.
In a statement on X, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, Ali Larijani, claimed, "I've heard that the remaining members of Epstein’s network have devised a conspiracy to create an incident similar to 9/11 and blame Iran for it."
On the other hand, Larijani rejected the idea, saying that "Iran fundamentally opposes such terrorist schemes," adding that Iran has no issue with the American people.
"Iran fundamentally opposes such terrorist schemes and has no war with the American people," he maintained.
On September 11, 2001, a series of coordinated terrorist attacks was carried out in the United States by the extremist group Al-Qaeda.
The United States and Israel launched a preemptive attack on Tehran on Feb. 28, striking several military bases and sites, in addition to targeting senior officials in the army. On the first day of the attack, Iran's then-supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, was killed along with five family members, but his wife and son, Mojtaba, were injured but survived the attack.
It is worth noting that Jeffrey Epstein was an American financier and child sex offender who was found dead inside his jail cell in 2019 while awaiting his trial.
