ALBAWABA - The NFL Super Bowl is under fire among pro-Palestine activists for airing pro-Israel ads demanding the release of the hostages held by Hamas and ignoring the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza that caused the killing of more than 28,000 Palestinians which include children and more than 67,000 injured since Oct. 7, 2023.
According to the Jewish Press, the Pro-Israel US Ad Campaign in question aired ahead of the Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday night with the addition of smart television ads, billboards in major cities like Washington, and radio broadcasts.
The campaign was launched by the National Public Diplomacy Directorate by the government and is expected to be viewed by millions of people watching the Super Bowl.
Most of the ads aired over the weekend before the Super Bowl game between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers. The videos were named the following:
- "Bring All Dads Back Home".
- "In a Roaring Stadium - Their Silence is Deafening. Bring Them Home".
- "136 Seats Are Still Available for Sunday's Game" resembling the hostage number".
This normally caused quite a stir among pro-Palestine activists as they took to social media platforms such as X (formerly Twitter) to voice both their opinions and concerns on the matter:

Several pro-Palestine users took to X and added "While Americans watch the Super Bowl and get fed Israeli propaganda, Israel is committing war crimes in Gaza as it also attacked Rafah last night" which was the last safety zone for Gazans from the constant bombing.
In hopes of protesting against the campaign, pro-Palestine activists demanded users boycott the Super Bowl with a hashtag under the name "TheSuperBowlMassacre" in response to the "propaganda" campaigns being held by the Israeli government to American citizens.
American actor and comedian Michael Rapaport who doesn't hide his support for Israel also appeared in an ad "The Most Talked About Super Bowl Commercial That Was Never Aired" demanding the release of the hostages.
