ALBAWABA - A video circulated on social media platforms documents the moment a person in Saudi Arabia is on the ground after falling from the Masjid al-Haram in Mecca during the last days of Ramadan and days ahead of Eid Al-Fitr 2024.
In the footage, a person had fallen from a high place in Masjid al-Haram in Saudi Arabia while worshippers quickly gathered around him and medical teams rushed to the scene.
Subsequently, Saudi Arabia's Public Security posted a statement on the X platform, indicating that the Special Force for the Security of the Masjid al-Haram had initiated an investigation into the incident.
It also added that the person threw himself from the upper floors of the mosque and was later caught on video lying on the ground.
Nonetheless, the Saudi Security Forces confirmed in the statement that the person was transferred to the hospital to receive treatment and complete the necessary procedures.
Many social media users claimed that the person threw himself from a high place on purpose to kill himself, however, the Saudi police didn't release an official statement regarding the cause of the incident.
