ALBAWABA - An individual named Dr. Amira Assoli took the internet by storm on Feb. 10, 2024, after leaving the comfort of her home abroad to save and tend to the Palestinian people in Gaza due to the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Strip since Oct. 7, 2023.
A video circulating across social media platforms such as Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) showed Dr. Amira running to save a Palestinian man's life after getting shot by Israeli forces. She was seen running from the hospital towards the tent he was taking shelter at.
This video showcased the courage of the Doctor as many users took to several posts of the video to crown her as the "Real Iron Woman" and the "Champion of Palestine"!

Who is Dr. Amira Assoli?

According to her Facebook page, Dr. Amira was residing in Egypt and had a Women and Children's clinic there when the Israeli aggression on Gaza started.
The doctor is originally from Palestine and after seeing the grueling videos of her people dying and losing their families, she decided to go back to her homeland in order to tend to the Palestinians in Gaza.
By the time of writing this article, Israel resulted in the killing of more than 28,000 Palestinians and left more than 67,600 injured, as reported by the Ministry of Health in Gaza.
