ALBAWABA - After a video showed him and other government officials dancing at a wedding while Hezbollah rocketed northern Israel, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz was criticized. The footage went viral on Israeli social media, prompting residents to criticize Katz's absence from crucial military and political discussions during a national crisis.

Apparently, Rabbi Eliezer Melamed's son's wedding was where the contentious video was filmed. Numerous Likud ministers and Knesset members, including Minister Miki Zohar, who had recently celebrated his son's wedding, attended the occasion. Hezbollah launched almost 200 rockets into Israel throughout the celebration, causing millions to hide in bunkers.

Ynet News and Israel Hayom called the scenario “unprecedentedly insensitive,” showing Katz joyfully dancing in a Jewish circle with other officials. The minister and his colleagues were accused of putting personal interests before national obligations.

Social media was swamped with government priorities questions. Many people inquired why Katz was not in the operations room throughout the increasing confrontation. The video leaker's identity has also sparked questions, exposing Rabbi Melamed, the event's host.

Katz and other ministers have not addressed the outcry. As Lebanon launches rockets and political instability continues, the retaliation reveals the growing strain between Israel's leadership and its populace.

Many Israelis say Katz's dance video undermines public trust amid a vital national security moment, calling for accountability.
