ALBAWABA - As war intensifies between the United States, Israel, and Iran, a $120.5 million deal between an Israeli company and Washington over the sale of smart military helmets has dominated talk on social media.

The Pentagon agreed to a $120.5 million military deal with the U.S. branch of the Israeli defense company Elbit Systems, according to the Israeli news website Walla.

Under the deal, the U.S. field troops will receive smart helmets that combine artificial intelligence (AI) with sensory data integration to increase their survivability and combat capabilities.

The Israeli website reported that the deal aims to enable U.S. military forces to quickly acquire capabilities when identifying and addressing operational gaps, as well as provide ground troops with real-time intelligence displayed on the innovative helmet screens.

Through the helmets, soldiers can receive and share real-time visual intelligence and threat data with their colleagues.
