ALBAWABA - The heartbreaking story of monkey Baby Punch and his stuffed animal has been dominating social media and capturing the empathy of humans worldwide.
Punch, the adorable baby monkey from Ichikawa City Zoo in Japan, has been making headlines in international newspapers and websites over his shocking story, because he was abandoned by his mother shortly after birth.
Baby Punch was born in July 2025, but was left alone after birth, so zookeepers accepted the mission to raise the tiny macaque themselves.

It is worth noting that little monkeys usually remain attached to their mothers all the time, but sadly, this is not the case for Baby Punch. So, zookeepers got a brilliant idea: they got him a stuffed orangutan, which he now clings to while sleeping and throughout the day.
In mid-January, the little monkey was successfully introduced to a group of macaques at the zoo. For a while, he was unable to make any friends at the zoo, so he remained attached to his stuffed animal.
