ALBAWABA - Two cafes in Ukraine named after Donald Trump have officially ripped down their signs to express their anger and dissatisfaction with the US President's call to halt military aid for the country.
According to The Sun, Trump Coffee Bar and Trump Pizza Station are located in central Kyiv but are now signless after their owner scrapped the US President's name across its premises.
This comes after Donald Trump's heated debate with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House in Washington DC, where US Vice President JD Vance was also present.
Donald Trump's name removed from 2 cafes in Ukraine
While the staff refused to disclose the new name for both cafes, their social media account indicated that it was changed to 'Frank.' A customer told The Sun that it's a great local place but added further that "it’s not a good time to be called Trump in Ukraine" hence the name change.
The pizzeria side of the cafes still offers a Trump-themed pizza titled "Trumpino" which includes toppings such as ham, mushrooms, and artichokes.
Tensions escalated at the White House when Donald Trump publicly slammed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, criticizing his stance on the ongoing war with Russia and warning of potential consequences if Ukraine refuses a ceasefire. Reports later suggested that Trump ordered Zelensky to leave the White House following a heated exchange.
During their debate about the Ukraine-Russia war and ceasefire, Donald Trump accused Zelensky of disrespecting the US due to not being thankful enough for the aid it provides Urkaine with.
