ALBAWABA - A Danish member of the European Parliament named Anders Vistisen is going viral on social media after responding to Donald Trump about the US President's interest in taking over Greenland from Denmark.

Vistisen warned Trump and wrote, "Listen very carefully… [Greenland] is not for sale. Let me put it in words you might understand — Mr. Trump, f*** off."

In his statement, he stressed that Greenland is Denmark's property and is not up for grabs after the 47th US President expressed his interest in the island for strategic and economic reasons.

This is similar to recent claims made by the US president about trying to acquire Canada as a 51st state and renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America by signing an executive order amid his 2025 inauguration.

The matter in question sparked debate across social media and received mixed reactions from users due to Anders Vistisen's "rude" response to Trump while others pointed out that Greenland isn't exactly a real estate deal but a full-fledged territory.

"No need to be rude. A simple 'no thanks' would suffice."

"Greenland ain't a real estate deal, Donald."

Another added, "It’s funny because Greenland said let’s talk business. Maybe the Danish should’ve been better partners to Greenland."
