ALBAWABA - A recent picture of Moroccan footballer Achraf Hakimi and French sensation Kylian Mbappé enjoying their vacation together stunned Real Madrid supporters when it appeared online. However, one picture's unexpected backdrop aspect sparked criticism from Madrid fans.
Didier Deschamps, the coach of the French national team, just left Mbappé off of France's mid-November UEFA Nations League roster. Mbappé has been out of the team since last October because of a minor thigh injury, and this decision continues his absence.
Due to his absence from national team responsibilities, Mbappé posted a number of pictures to his Instagram account, including ones of himself with Achraf Hakimi, a former colleague of his from PSG. In the pictures, the two were seen having a laid-back break while playing PlayStation.
Fans of "Los Blancos," however, were especially agitated by the image of a shisha in the backdrop of one picture, according to the Spanish website Eldesmarque, even though there was no proof that either player was smoking.
Dissatisfied, one Real Madrid supporter said on social media, "Just what we needed – seeing Mbappé spend his break with a shisha in the background." It seems that he disregards all Madridista ideals.
In addition to the contentious picture, Mbappé shared more pictures of himself playing paddle tennis with Arnau Tenas and Hakimi. Mbappé has played in 13 Real Madrid games this season in all competitions, tallying eight goals and dishing out one assist.
