ALBAWABA - Amid the upcoming 2024 US elections, a mysterious artist made headlines after placing two statues in Washington, DC of a turd sitting on Nancy Pelosi's desk and a neo-Nazi torch with Donald Trump's name written on it.
The political statues emerged in Washington, DC on Monday, Oct. 28, 2024, with the neo-Nazi Trump one showing up at the Freedom Plaza, while Nancy Pelosi's turd statue that is reminiscent of the popular "poop emoji" was spotted at the National Mall facing the Capitol, according to Hyperallergic.

The neo-Nazi torch statue was titled, "The Donald J. Trump Enduring Flame" following a statement carved into it about the time the former US president and current candidate referred to the "neo-Nazis and white supremacists" who marched in Charlotezzvile, Virginia as "very fine people".
It said in detail, "This monument pays tribute to President Donald Trump and the “very fine people” he boldly stood to defend when they marched in Charlottesville, Virginia. While many have called them white supremacists and neo-Nazis, President Trump’s voice rang out above the rest to remind all that they were “treated absolutely unfairly.” This monument stands as an everlasting reminder of that bold proclamation."
According to a user on X, an individual approached the Donald Trump statue and smashed it with their skateboard:
As for the desk, it's a reference to the Capitol attack hence its placement. It symbolizes the time Capitol rioter Richard Barnett who was sentenced to prison last May when he placed his feet on Nancy Pelosi's desk and was photographed doing it.
The Jan. 6 United States Capitol attack followed the events of a group of mobsters who attempted a coup d'état two months after Donald Trump's loss in the 2020 presidential elections.
Hyperallergic reported that both statues are under 24-hour surveillance and have an official permit to be placed till Oct. 31, 2024.
