ALBAWABA - Thousands of pro-Palestinian protesters took to the streets in Sydney and Malebourne on Monday, against the expected visit of Israeli President Isaac Herzog to Australia.

Crowds were heard shouting "from the river to the sea," "Arrest Herzog," and "globalize the intifada", as they called the Australian government for the Israeli president's arrest as a war criminal in central Sydney.

New South Wales police used pepper spray against pro-Palestinian protesters at a Sydney rally who demonstrated against President Isaac Herzog’s visit, The Guardian reported.

Herzog is expected to meet members of the Jewish community on Monday evening over the Bondi Beach shooting incident to commemorate the victims of the massacre.

Israeli President is on a four-day official visit to Australia to mark the Bondi Beach attack, in which gunmen targeted a Jewish event, killing 15 people, most of them Jewish, and injuring dozens more.
