Two suspected members of Osama bin Laden's al-Qaeda network were killed in a gunbattle and three others were detained after Yemeni security forces raided Friday several homes in Sanna looking for members of the terrorist network, a security official said, according to AP.
Two security forces members were injured in the firefight in the northern suburbs of the capital city, the official added.
Yemeni security forces believed the neighborhood was home to a number of people suspected of belonging to al-Qaeda. Security forces were searching the area late Friday and there were several more exchanges of fire, the official conveyed.
A cache of weapons was discovered and confiscated during the raid. (Albawaba.com)
