Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak received a letter from President Ali Abdullah on “means of broadening the brotherly ties between Yemen and Egypt and the latest development in the Palestinian territories in addition to other regional and international issues of common concern,” according to the Yemeni official news agency (SABA).
Yemen has this year been accepted to take part in certain activities of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) pending full membership. Both countries are US allies and have exerted efforts in the US-led campaign against terrorism. (Albawaba.com)
