Israeli forces on Tuesday morning killed two Palestinian activists in a refugee camp near the West Bank city of Nablus. Israel Radio reported that a special police unit raided a house at the Balata refugee camp where the two Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades members were hiding.
The Palestinians died in the gunbattle that ensued, and two Israeli soldiers sustained light injuries.
Elsewhere, Israeli troops on Monday killed in the West Bank city of Ramallah an activist of the Fatah-linked Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades group. Palestinian sources said that the troops drove through the city in a civilian car, dressed up as locals. When they approached the café where Alaa a-Rabi, 24, was sitting, they opened fire and killed him on the spot.
On Sunday, Israeli troops killed a 64-year-old man in Jenin. Palestinian sources said on Monday that Sabri Khalil worked as a night watchman at a local school.
