ALBAWABA - Local media in Colombia announced that a mud volcano in San Juan de Urabá erupted on Wednesday, causing the release of huge amounts of fire and mud near a water plant.
Colombian authorities revealed that no injuries to humans were reported, but they warned of ground cracks and potential further activity.
Despite no human injuries, media outlets said that a number of animals died, and the main road leading to the Siete Vueltas district in Colombia was damaged by the fire of the mud volcano, which erupted on Feb. 25.
A video was shared on social media showing the mud volcano suddenly erupting, hurling flames and thick sludge high into the sky in the South American country.
At least four houses were evacuated as a precaution, and people who live near the volcano site were advised to stay away while monitoring continues.
Colombia said that emergency teams and risk management workers are still active near the site.
