ALBAWABA - Yesterday, a violent encounter took place on Republic Neighborhood Government Street in Turkey as a result of a money disagreement. The conflict began with a debt issue between Bekir Y. and Samet C., who were both in their twenties, and 21-year-old Mert Torun.

According to haber 7, the parties concerned had a phone discussion during which the dispute turned into a foul-mouthed argument. Later, on the street, Bekir Y. and Samet C. ran across Mert Torun out of the blue, which resulted in a fight.

Bekir Y. and Samet C. attacked Mert Torun with a machete during the altercation, seriously injuring him. Security footage showed Samet C. repeatedly hitting Mert Torun's head and legs with the weapon throughout the unsettling event.

An alarm was sent out, and emergency personnel were on the spot right away. Mert Torun received emergency medical assistance and was quickly taken by ambulance to Erbaa State Hospital. He was then sent to the University Hospital of Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa for further care.

After a short chase, police officers captured Bekir Y. and Samet C., who had left the site of the incident. Samet C. acknowledged during questioning that he had retaliated against Mert Torun because he had been verbally abused during their last phone call.

The two suspects were officially produced before the court after their completion of the required procedures at the police station.

Following a judicial proceeding, Bekir Yıldırım and Samet Can were placed under arrest. They were sent on remand to Çamlıbel T Type Prison until more legal actions were taken.
