ALBAWABA - On Saturday, Israeli airstrikes on Gaza killed eight Palestinians and wounded numerous more, destroying Beit Lahia, Jabalia, and Rafah. Continuing strikes are part of a military campaign that has ravaged the area.
Medical sources informed Anadolu Agency that an Israeli air assault on Beit Lahia in northern Gaza killed three Palestinians and wounded others. Witnesses reported severe artillery fire, sending victims to Al-Mamdani and Kamal Adwan hospitals.
Israeli soldiers destroyed scores of western Jabalia houses to intensify their onslaught. Residents ran for cover as witnesses reported huge explosions and dense smoke.
Five additional Palestinians, including three young males, were killed and injured in an Israeli attack near Rafah. Palestinian news agency WAFA said that an Israeli drone killed people in Al-Geneina.
The Israeli military effort to undermine Hamas started on October 7, 2023, and this bloodshed adds to it. However, many have called the campaign genocidal. According to Palestinian health officials, the assaults have killed approximately 147,000 people, mostly women and children. More than 10,000 people are missing, and hunger has killed many children and elderly.
Israeli soldiers have invaded northern Gaza since October 5 for security reasons. Palestinians say the goal is to evict civilians and create a buffer zone. A barricade that cut off food, water, and medical help has escalated the assault, worsening the humanitarian catastrophe.
